Welcome to the Festival of {Giving} Trees 2025
Join us as we celebrate the 28th annual Festival of {Giving} Trees, a cherished four-day family tradition designed to kick off the holiday season while supporting a vital cause. This year’s Festival will once again feature both in-person and virtual experiences, continuing a successful format that welcomes all to participate.
Since its founding in 1998 under the leadership of Sue Hapgood, the Festival has raised over $1 million in support of Silent Spring Institute, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, and the UMass Memorial Health Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital. In 2024 alone, we proudly donated $25,000 to each beneficiary.
What began as a single holiday fundraiser has grown into a year-round mission through our nonprofit, Giving Trees for Life, Inc. In addition to the Festival, we now host events like the Tree.1 Run for Fun 5K, cornhole and disc golf tournaments and calendar raffles—all dedicated to raising funds for cancer research, prevention, and care.
The Festival features over 100 uniquely decorated Christmas trees, each one distinct—elegant, humorous, nostalgic, or bold—and all sparkling with personality. Best of all, each tree will go home with a lucky raffle winner!
We are powered by passionate volunteers and a community that believes in giving back. Your participation helps support groundbreaking research, patient care, and the fight against breast cancer—locally and beyond.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors—this is a community celebration you won’t want to miss!
Life is Good and What a Good Feeling When You Donate a Tree!!
