We would like to invite you to be a part of one of the area’s most exciting holiday happenings… The Festival of {Giving} Trees.

The 2020 Festival will be a little different this year.  Acknowledging the importance of the health and safety of the public and support staff, in the midst of COVID-19, The Festival of {Giving} Trees Committee made the decision to shift away from its traditional on-site event and launch our first ever Virtual Festival of {Giving} Trees.  Cancer does not stop so neither can we – the show must go on!

The 23rd Annual Festival of {Giving} Trees will tentatively run from Sunday, November 15th  through Sunday, December 6th.  At 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 6th the winners will be drawn.

This year it seems more important that we do something considering all that has been cancelled and the challenging experiences we have all had over the past several months.  We can still display the beautiful trees donated and carry forward the wonderful tradition of the Festival, just in a safe way. During this time in our lives, this virtual event is more of a celebration of the human spirit!

And while Virtual Events are the present reality, the Festival of {Giving} Trees is not giving up on holding in-person events in the future.  But the Virtual Event component is likely going to be part of the “new normal”.  When we return to indoor venues in the future, we will see new ways to interact, but we will never abandon the traditional event.  The Virtual platform allows us to reach individuals who may not be able to attend the Festival, or those that live far away who wouldn’t normally be able to take part in the event.
